Union City Wins

Bunching six of their nine hits, including a home run inside the park by Fash, the Union City Greyhounds scored eight runs in the sixth inning of today’s game at South Side Park to defeat the Owensboro Pirates, 9 to 7.

Gassaway, who up to the fifth had allowed only two hits, gave way for a pinch hitter in the seventh inning after fanning nine batters.

The same clubs will will play here tomorrow.
