Hoppers Drop Another

Hopkinsville lost its tenth game in 11 starts today as Owensboro nosed out the Hoppers 4 to 3. Big Bob Helvy, Owensboro pitcher, issued eight passes but his wildness did not figure in the Hopkinsville scoring. Wilson made five hits, including three triples, to drive in all but one of Owensboro’s runs. The two teams left 22 runners stranded on the bases.
